The European Premodern Masters championship is a brand new, annual invitational tournament launching in 2026, bringing together top Premodern players from across Europe. Entry is earned through official National Championships or qualifying events held in each participating country—starting late 2025.
Each participating country receives:
2 guaranteed invitations. +1 additional invitation for every 10 players beyond 20.
The maximum number of invitations a country can receive is 16.
Running Qualifiers:
To award invitations, an event should have at least 17 players taking part, 5 rounds swiss and a minimum cut to top4. Organisers are asked to provide photo evidence of the tournament and share the final standings so everything can be recorded properly.
Slot Allocation:
The total number of invitations for each country is determined by the attendance of its main event (the first major qualifier of the season). Countries may then distribute those invitations as they wish. For example, you may award all slots at the main event, or assign some there and reserve others for additional tournaments later in the year. All slot allocations must be confirmed before the European Premodern Masters Championship in Valencia.
Fair Play:
If an event is found not to meet these requirements, the invitations may be withdrawn. Repeated issues could also mean the organiser is not able to run future qualifiers.
A Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will be held in Valencia the day before the Main Event for players still looking to qualify.
🗺 Qualifiers are open to everyone! You don’t need to be a citizen or resident to participate in a country's qualifying events—you can earn your spot anywhere in Europe, as long as there are open slots available.
